On May 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 & 22, Ragen presents a sounding spectacle in the intriguing landscape of the Grensmaas, a project that aims to prevent future flooding.
After a boat trip with something to drink (included in your ticket), you will walk about a mile across the Grensmaas Consortium domain near Itteren, and experience a landscape opera featuring spectacularly “dancing” cranes, a string quartet, a percussion ensemble, a singer and a set of surprise artists. They will perform works by an international cast of sound artists. You will hear a poem recited in Dutch, but for the rest no knowledge of Dutch is required.
But bring along robust footwear! The landscape opera is coordinated by composer Paul Coenjaarts and theater producer Sybrand van der Werf. It will end at castle farm Hartelstein with a drink and a final performance. You can embark on the boat at Rederij Stiphout, Maaspromenade 58. The boat leaves at 7:30 PM (19:30 h). Tickets (advance booking): 27,50/17,50/15,00 euro.
